Former utility regulator, current Secretary of State visits OCI Solar Power

SAN ANTONIO, TX (August 22, 2017) – Eight months after being sworn into office, Rolando Pablos, Secretary of State of Texas, visited the OCI Solar Power office, which it shares with Mission Solar Energy, at Brooks.

“The transformation of Brooks from an Air Force Base to a mixed-use neighborhood with a thriving economy definitely caught his attention,” said Charles Kim, President and CEO. “And we’re proud that he was able to stop by, meet the team, learn about our business, and gain information on how our solar projects are helping turn San Antonio into a more self-sufficient, eco-friendly city.”

Pablos is acutely aware of the energy industry, having served as a Texas Public Utility Commissioner and co-founder of a renewable energy company.

During his visit to OCISP, he was joined by officials with the City of San Antonio and Brooks.
